Bài 3

N1 là N2

Bài 3
N1 wa N2 desu
N1 là N2 N1 is N2

は đánh dấu chủ đề của câu, còn です làm cho câu lịch sự. Đây là mẫu cơ bản nhất để giới thiệu tên, nghề nghiệp, quốc tịch và nhiều thông tin danh từ khác.

は marks the topic, and です makes the sentence polite. This is the most basic pattern for introducing names, jobs, nationalities, and other noun information.

Trong hội thoại thật, chủ ngữ thường được lược bớt khi đã rõ. Tuy vậy, ở giai đoạn đầu bạn nên luyện mẫu đầy đủ để quen với trật tự câu tiếng Nhật.

In real conversation, the subject is often dropped when it is obvious. Still, at the beginning it is helpful to practise the full pattern so you get used to Japanese word order.

Với người Việt, lỗi hay gặp là cố dịch từng chữ hoặc quên đọc は thành wa khi là trợ từ. Hãy ghi nhớ: viết は, nhưng đọc wa.

Vietnamese learners often try to translate word by word or forget that は is read wa as a particle. Remember: it is written は, but read wa.
