N に すんで います
Mẫu N に すんで います dùng để nói một người đang sống ở đâu. に đánh dấu địa điểm, còn すんで います là cách nói tự nhiên của すみます khi diễn tả trạng thái hiện tại.
The pattern N に すんで います is used to say where someone lives. に marks the place, and すんで います is the natural way to use すみます for a present living situation.
Ở mức đầu, bạn có thể học すんで います như một cụm cố định mang nghĩa “đang sống / sống ở”. Chưa cần phân tích sâu toàn bộ ý nghĩa của ~て います.
At this level, you can simply learn すんで います as a set phrase meaning “live in / be living in.” You do not need to analyse all the uses of ~て います yet.
Người Việt đôi khi dịch thành “đang sống” rồi tưởng đây là hành động tạm thời. Trong nhiều trường hợp, tiếng Nhật dùng ~て います để diễn tả trạng thái hiện tại lâu dài, như nơi cư trú.
Vietnamese learners sometimes translate it as “is living” and think it must be temporary. In Japanese, ~て います often describes a current state, including long-term residence.
